About Us

Joe Thomas has lived in the Atlanta area most of his life. His father, a carpenter and general contractor, taught him the trade and instilled in him a strong work ethic and appreciation for quality work and service to clients.

A strong advocate for sound environmental practices, Joe is encouraged by growing trends in energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. He values resources like Southface Energy Institute for the information, training, and advocacy they provide.

Elemental Green was originally formed in 2008 as a home performance contracting company. Soon thereafter the company joined forces with Renewal Design Build to form Renewal System Solutions. After a very successful run with Renewal, we decided to branch off again as Elemental Green. Responding to significant market research into home buying trends, the company began doing EarthCraft renovations for resale in addition to the home performance work. Elemental Green continues as a program participating contractor with Georgia Power’s Home Energy Improvement Program.

Joe holds a Georgia Basic Residential Contractor license. He is certified as an EarthCraft Builder and as a Building Analyst by the Building Performance Institute. He has also completed multiple training courses in solar system design and installation.
